Michael Young founded Sentry Construction in 1985, in Elgin, Illinois.  With over 38 years of personal experience, Mike's expertise comes from a successful career in building over 400 homes in Kane, Cook, and McHenry Counties located in Northern Illinois, and Eagle County, Colorado.  Sentry brings your vision to life through fine craftsmanship, original designs, and honest hard work.  Mike's commitment to developing high quality crafted and architecturally-sound homes is what sets him apart.  He is a currently a member of the National Home Builders Association, was as a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, and served on the Fox Valley Homebuilders Association Board of Directors.  Born and raised in Illinois, Mike spent the winters from 1979-1986 pursuing his passion for skiing and enjoying the Colorado lifestyle, then in 1996, he returned to build a beautiful vacation home and never left.  As a resident and valued member of the Vail Valley community for over 20 years, Mike has built a beautiful family and impressive local portfolio.

“People’s Choice” Award

Presented for the ‘Christine’ model located on the 18th fairway on the Boulder Ridge Golf Course at the 10th annual Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago Parade of Homes event in 1991.  As one of Boulder Ridge’s exclusive builders, Sentry Construction built over 25 homes ranging in size from 3,400 sq ft.- 8,000 sq ft.

Presented for the ‘Christine’ model located on the 18th fairway at the Boulder Ridge Golf Course from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago in 1991 for size and value in it's class.
